Hi everyone,
Most of you probably already know about my new craft cabin. But, I wanted to also do a blog post for you all. It’s nice to look at before and after pictures.
This cabin has been a nightmare from start to finish. If I am honest, I would not build it again! Nothing went right from day 1. Perhaps, if I had not chosen ‘cowboy builders’ to do it, then it may be different.
I had to pay people to build the cabin. They also did all the electrics, plastering, etc. I am quite shocked at how much it ended up costing! If you have ‘handy’ people in your family or a handy ‘hubby’ then great!
If you are considering a ‘craft cabin’ please contact a few companies before you make any decisions. Get lot’s of quotes and ask people for recommendations.
Now that the cabin is finished, I do love it. However, I am not confident it will last me for years. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If I could do it all again, I would have chosen one company to handle everything from start to finish. No doubt it would of been done a whole lot quicker and be much better quality than it is now.
I hope it lasts me years. If not, I will deal with it when I come to it.
I am going to share lots of pictures with you. These pictures will show how it looked when it was being built and how it looks now.
Building the cabin.

Starting to decorate.

The finished cabin.

I love my pink cabin and I just had to call it Candy Floss Cabin!

Some things to bear in mind!
I insulated my craft cabin. At the time, I did not realize this will interfere with your mobile phone signal! Please bear that in mind as I have know phone signal what so ever!
The insulation also interferes with my broadband. I bought a couple of WIFI boosters but neither of them worked. I had to hire a company to install a CAT6 cable. This is basically an Ethernet cable from the router in the house to a new router in the cabin.
I hope you like it as much as I do and I am really looking forward to the new year in ‘Candyfloss Cabin’
Happy new year everyone!
Ann xx
