I am continuing the Christmas theme and I promised I would do a ‘Lilac Christmas’. I have never done Lilac Christmas cards before and I have to say it turned out gorgeous! I hope you agree.

It sure makes a change from traditional Christmas colours and it’s worth a try! My card was 8 x 8″ today and I think it’s my new favourite size. I love them. This week I kept the card flatter than usual so you could fit this in a standard envelope.

I used the extra large number dies and the starburst background die which gave a beautiful effect. I created my own heat embossed background using the doodle poinsettia stamp set.

My card base was 8 x 8″ and the 2 layers were 7 3/4″ and 7 1/2″ The next layer was 6 1/2″ and the 2 smaller layers were 6 1/4″ and 6″
