Tutorials for Bags and Boxes

Exploding Gift Box With Pull Out Drawers

Today i have a really cool box for you. As i mentioned in my tutorial i got this idea from a Youtuber called Shrusti Patil, i have linked her tutorial in my description bar on YouTube. I love this box, however i did change the measurements as Shrusti used a very large piece of card to make her box and we do not do that size. I changed it to a 12 x 12″ piece 🙂 I hope you like it.

This box is just so cool!! I really do love it. You can make it for so many different occasions too. The draws are very roomy so you can fit lots of gifts in them.

This box is also really simple to make. You do need lots of card and pieces of DSP but it is so worth it. I used the Tutti Fruiti DSP for my box. I have to admit i was not keen on that paper when i first seen it. I love it now! Its just a really cheery and happy paper.

I really enjoyed making this project and i am sure you will to. Please watch my YouTube tutorial for full instructions, i have put the link for the video at the end of this post.

Large Decorated Gift Box & Candle

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to project number 3 of my Festive Friday series.
I really am quite proud of today’s project. It looks so elegant & quite professional too. This is also a very large box & has a separate tray in the bottom that holds the candle in place.

I also made one of these boxes in Acetate which i show you in my tutorial. The acetate one does not have the windows cut out as you don’t need them.

I did not stamp directly onto my candle. Instead i heat embossed my sentiment onto some heat resistant acetate and i wrapped it around the candle. I secured it with a glue dot.

This really is a very beautiful box and would make a fantastic gift for anyone. All the products i used are listed at the end of this post. The link for the You Tube video will also be there too.

Amazing Exploding Confetti Box

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my Blog & thank you for paying me a visit! Today i have the most amazing & really cool exploding box for you. When i say ‘exploding’ i really mean it! It will definitely give the recipient a very big surprise when they take the lid off!  The ideas is that you fill the box with confetti, sequins & even small sweets if you like. When the lid is taken off the box pops right up & all the contents jump all over the place! I love it.

I came across a few of these boxes on youtube but the tutorial i watched was from someone called ‘The Creative Guy’ I have linked his video in my Youtube description. I did not follow his tutorial (sizes etc) I just made up my own sizes & made my box from layered card rather than cardboard. It really is super simple to make & all you need is Card, paper, 4 small elastic bands and confetti, sequins etc.

I made my box in a Valentines theme but of course you can make yours anyway you like. It would be fantastic for a kids party or just a regular Birthday etc. I really think you will love this box if you give it a try.

You can find all the measurements below in metric & imperial. At the end of this post i will also put the link to my Youtube Tutorial. I explain step by step how to make this box.

MEASUREMENTS
THE SIDES OF THE BOX MEASURE 3 X 3″ I LAYERED 4 PIECES OF CARD TOGETHER TO MAKE ONE SIDE. IF YOU DO THIS YOU WILL NEED 18 PIECES OF 3 X 3″ 16 PIECES FOR THE SIDES & 2 PIECES FOR THE BOX BASE.

8 PIECES OF PATTERNED PAPER FOR THE INSIDE & OUTSIDE OF THE BOX MEASURING 2 7/8″ X 2 7/8″

Large Box Style Handbag

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog & as always, thank you for popping by Today!

When i did my tutorial on Friday, i promised that i would make a larger version of the box style Handbag. Well here it is!! I absolutely LOVE this bag & as you will notice its quite a bit larger than the original one. It is constructed in a slightly different way but only by joining 2 pieces of card stock together. Obviously you will need more card and paper to make this bag but it is so worth it!!

This bag is identical to the first one i made, the only difference is the size. You can fit lots more in this bag & would make a perfect gift for anyone. I think it would be great to fill with Nail polish or make-Up. Maybe you could put Nail Polish in one of the pockets & some Chocolates in the other one.

Beautiful Handbag With Magnetic Closure

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my Blog & a big thank you for taking the time to visit today!!

I am so excited about Today’s project!! I absolutely LOVE it!! The first thing i want to make clear is that this is not my idea. I came across this project on YouTube & it was made by another fellow Stampin Up! demonstrator who goes by the name of Made by Gemma Crafts. If you click the link it will take you direct to Gemma’s YouTube tutorial.

As soon as i saw this project i new that i had to have a go at making it myself. It is nothing short of stunning!! I am sure that you will agree with me and want to make one yourself. Gemma made her bag for 3×3″ notecards and envelopes. You can also fit other things in there if you wish. It does not just have to be for cards.

I did make notecards and envelopes for the cream and gold bag but not for the Black and Grey one. Despite looking difficult to make this bag is actually very simple so please do not be put off. I think once you have made one of these bags you will become quite addicted and want to make more!

Please watch my YouTube tutorial for full instructions on how to make this project. As always i have put a link to the video at the end of this post. You can also find a supply list of all the products i have used. I would be so very grateful if you would support my business and purchase your products through me. Without your support i will not be able to carry on doing what i love and making free tutorials etc.

Also, if you place an order that is less than £150 please remember to use my hostess code before you check out. This will allow me to enter you into my rewards club and send you some FREE Stampin Up! products at the end of the month when i close the hostess code down. I also send a thank you card and a small handmade gift of some sort.

Elegant Heat Embossed Gift bag

Hi Everyone,

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!
I just want to quickly mention the On Stage event that Stampin Up! had last Weekend. This is one of the times that Demonstrators get recognition for there achievements. I am so very happy to say that i was a Global achiever for Sales, Recruiting & Leadership!! Wow, how amazing is that???
I am so very grateful to my Team & my amazing customers! Thank you all so much!

So, on with today’s project. I LOVE this project. Its so sweet but elegant at the same time. Its really easy to make and looks great! This little bag/box would be great for so many occasions. Wedding favors, Gift bag, Gift Box & you could change the decoration and make it into a Christmas gift bag. I hope you like it.

How gorgeous is this sweet bag??? I made a little heart window in mine but you can skip the window if you wish. It will still look great without one. I heat embossed my bag with Colour me happy stamp set & clear embossing powder. I always think clear heat embossing looks so elegant.

This is definitely one of my favorite projects and i will be making more of these in different colours & designs.

Large Reinforced Gift Bag

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to my blog & another tutorial. With Christmas only being a few days away, i will be making the last few projects of 2017 all festive! If you are anything like me you will always run out of wrapping paper or gift bags. Hopefully these last few projects will help fix that situation.

I have a very beautiful & elegant looking gift bag today which i love. This bag is also very large & super strong. I would think nothing of it if i saw this bag in an expensive shop etc. It looks very professional & i am sure you will agree.

I used the bundle of love designer paper for these bags. I think it is perfect as it also has the same pattern on the reverse but in a different colour. You will need 2 sheets of 12 x 12″ to make the bag but i think its worth it. Of course you could make your bag smaller if you wish.

You could make this bag for so many different occasions. If you use this designer paper i think they would be perfect for Weddings & Christenings.

Please find the link to my YouTube video below & also a list of all the products i used.

12 x 12″ Magazine File Box

chipboard handmade paper storage unit,

Hi everyone!
Thank you for stopping by my Blog Today! I hope you are all having a lovely Weekend. Last night was quite bad with storm ‘Dennis’ but i think we got of lightly compared to some places in the UK. I hope you managed to avoid the worst of it. On the plus side its a good excuse to stay home & craft.

Today you will be pleased to see i have more craft room storage! Even better is that its for 12 x 12″ papers. My idea came from the A4 magazine file that i made the other day. I new there had to be a way to make a bigger one. That is one of the reasons i bought the A3 grey board from Amazon.

I also added some little reinforcements on all 4 joining  corners. For this i used a 2″ circle punch. The actual length of the box is 13 1/4″ because i store some of my papers in 12 x 12 plastic sheets. They have a 1″ strip down the sides that has holes punched out so i new making the box 12″ long would not be big enough for mine. You can store lots of papers in this & again its very strong & sturdy.

You can find all the measurements listed below in Metric & Imperial.

2 PIECES CHIPBOARD MEASURING 11 3/4″ X 13 1/4″
MEASURE UP 4″ AND CUT OFF DIAGONALLY TO THE TOP CORNER

Easy 12 x 12″ Paper Storage

positivelypapercraft paper storage tutorial

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for stopping by my Blog! Today i have a tutorial on how i made this 12 x 12″ scrapbook paper storage unit. I have been asked so many times if i could come up with something to store your 12 x 12″ papers in. I decided the easiest thing to use would be Pizza boxes. I often use them for my monthly craft boxes so always have a supply of them. I will also put the link for them at the end of this post & also on my you tube video.

I just want to say that this tutorial was very hard to film. As you can imagine the boxes are so large & took up all of my desk. I just hope you can understand how to do it. Its really quite simple & you can also add more boxes if you would like yours bigger. Mine had 5 boxes & it turned out really strong. Mine is being used for my 12 x 12″ card stock.

Tuxedo Tissue Box

Tuxedo tissue box

Hi everyone 🙂 Welcome to my Fathers week and day 1 of my series. I am kicking it off with this gorgeous and very classy Tuxedo Tissue box. This is not just a Tissue cover but an actual box with a lift off lid. It looks so cool and i think any man would be proud to have this on display. If you follow me you may remember that i did a tissue box cover about 3 years ago.

Tuxedo tissue box

This box is very simple to make and i also reinforced the lid. My lid turned out a tiny bit to big so i will give you a smaller measurement to ensure it doesn’t happen to yours. I achieved the white stitching effect with a gel pen and the bow tie was made from a bow Die that i have in my stash.

Huge No Die Doctors Style Bag

Giftbag, Handbag tutorial, No die Doctors bag,

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for stopping by my blog Today. I hope you are all keeping well & safe.  I can not believe its Friday already! The week has just flew by. Hopefully in a few weeks we may have some sort of normality back, well i hope we do.

Anyway, i have been asked quite a few times if i could make some sort of Doctors bag without any dies. So here we are! This is my little creation of a Doctors style bag. Its very easy to make & my tutorial explains it step by step. I hope you like it & will have a try at making one.

This is a really large bag & it measures about 10″ wide, 7″ deep & 7″ tall. You can fit loads in it & i am sure whoever you gift it to will be thrilled with it. All you need to make it is 2 pieces of 12 x 12″ patterned paper and 2 A4 pieces of card. No dies are needed to construct the Bag. I did use a small circle die to make my Buckles and draw some corners on the Bag. You could also use the bottom of a cup or Glass maybe.

Below you can find the dimensions of the Bag & at the end of the post you will also find the link to my Youtube video.

Beautiful Basket Style Gift Box

Hi Everyone,Welcome to my Blog and as always thank you for stopping by.Today i have the most beautiful project for you! I came across a picture of this box on pinterest. It was a written tutorial from a Blog called Dorcas Designs. Here is the link to the Ladies Blog Post
I am so happy with how it turned out! I can not stop looking at it. Please do not be put off by thinking it looks complicated or difficult, it really is very simple to make. I know you will love it if you make one.

I think this box would be perfect for Mothers Day. You could fill it with chocolates and i think anyone’s Mum would be so happy to receive this gorgeous box. It is very large inside so you could fit lots of lovely goodies in it. I put some beautiful acetate windows in mine and i just think it compliments the box beautifully.

This box opens on both sides and closes with Magnets. If you don’t have any you could also use some Velcro dots. I slightly altered the original design and created an extra score line so that you can hide the magnets underneath. Plus it also makes the closure slightly more rigid.

Ombre Gift Box With Acetate Wrap

Hi my crafty friends!

I am back with another project for you and i am really pleased with it! I think it looks so beautiful.
I have had some of the 12″ x 12″ fabulous foil acetate for a while now, however i have not really used it 😦 I dont know why as it really is gorgeous. One of the fantastic things about it is its double sided! Gold on one side and silver on the other. How fab is that??

To me this box has a very Eastern feel about it. I LOVE the ombre effect the Colour Theory DSP gives. You can use this box for all sorts of different occasions.
You could also alter the size and make it bigger or smaller.

As i mention in my You Tube tutorial, the acetate has a protective film on it. Just remember to remove it before you put it on your project.

12 x 12″ Christmas Advent Box

Hi Everyone!
Welcome to my Blog & as always, thank you so much for popping by.
I am so proud of the project i have for you today! Its my own idea & i totally love it! Its a shadow box Advent Calendar. Its very easy to make & has the same concept as the Shadow Parcel boxes tutorial i did the other day. It does take a little bit of time to make but thats just because of all the little boxes you have to make. It holds 25 & they are very roomy so you can fit other things in as well as Chocolate/Treats.

I made this one for my Daughter & she loves it. I put her name along the bottom which i made from some alphabet dies i had in my stash. The numbers on the front of the boxes are also made from number dies. If you don’t have any number or letter dies you can maybe stamp them and heat emboss them. As the title states, you don’t need any dies for this project. You can choose to decorate your calendar anyway you like.

I made my boxes from card stock and then decorated them with patterned paper. You could of course just use patterned paper to make your boxes but then they won’t be as strong. It would cut down on time though. The choice is yours. If you use a nice quality thick paper it may be ok. The shadow box itself is made from 12 x 12″ patterned paper & i reinforced the back with a 12 x 12″ sheet of white card stock.

DIMENSIONS

FOR THE SHADOW BOX FRAME YOU NEED 4 PIECES OF PATTERNED PAPER MEASURING 12 X 4 1/2″

SCORE THE SHORT SIDE @ 1/2″,  1 1/2″,  2 1/2″ & 3 1/2″ DO THIS TO ALL 4 PIECES

YOU WILL NEED A 12 X 12″ PIECE OF PATTERNED PAPER & A 12 X 12″ PIECE OF CARD STOCK TO REINFORCE THE BACK.

BOXES

YOU NEED 15 BOXES MEASURING 8 1/4″ X 5 3/4″
SCORE THE LONG SIDE @ 2, 4, 6 & 8″
SCORE THE SHORT SIDE @ 1/2″, 2 1/2″ & 4 1/2″

EACH BOX NEEDS 5 PIECES OF PATTERNED PAPER MEASURING 2 7/8″ SQUARE

YOU NEED 9 BOXES MEASURING 7 3/4″ x 5 3/4″
SCORE THE LONG SIDE @ 2,  3 3/4″,  5 3/4″  & 7 1/2″
SCORE THE SHORT @ 1/2″,  2 1/2″  &  4 1/2″

YOU NEED 4 PIECES OF PATTERNED PAPER MEASURING 2 5/8″ X 2 7/8″ & 1 PIECE MEASURING 2 7/8″ SQUARE

YOU NEED 1 BOX MEASURING 7 1/4″ X 5 3/4″
SCORE THE LONG SIDE @ 1 3/4″,  3 1/2″,,5 1/4″  & 7″
SCORE THE SHORT SIDE @ 1/2″,  2 1/4″,  &  4 1/4″

3D Shoes & Shoe Box

No die 3d shoe tutorial

Hi Everyone,Thank you for stopping by my Blog today.  I have the most adorable project today! A really cute pair of shoes & a matching Shoe box gift box!! How cute!! If you are in my Facebook group, the other day a Lady posted a pair of Shoes like these ones. Lots of people loved them and i said i would do something similar. Its not my idea and the template i found online for free. You can find the link for it under my Youtube tutorial but i will also put it at the end of this blog post.
I came up with the matching Shoe Box myself. I thought it would be so cute & it just looks like a mini Pair of new shoes!  As the title states, no dies are needed, You just download the free shoe PDF, print it off then cut it out. Draw around it on the paper/card you want to use and then cut that out. Its really simple to do.

No die 3D shoe card

I thought it would look really sweet to put the sentiment on the inside of the Shoe. The idea was to make it look like the size label you see inside the shoe. I just stamped mine onto 2 pieces of card measuring 1″ x 2″ & then used a Black Micron pen to draw some faux stitching around the outside.  I put a Bow on the front of the shoes. Its just a Bow die from Alincrafts that i have in my stash. You could also maybe put a Flower on the front.

A4 Paper Storage Magazine File

A4 box file tutorial positivelypapercraft

HI Everyone,
Welcome to my Blog & thank you for stopping by! I did promise more Craft Room storage & today that is what i have! I am so proud of this & it turned out so much better than i thought it would. Its so strong & will happily hold quite a bit of A4 card stock. Of course you don’t have to keep Card stock in it, you may want to keep your Craft magazines in it or maybe even your card scraps. The choice is yours.

The great thing i love about this project is the fact you can decorate it anyway you like. You can choose colours & papers in the style that you want. As you can see in the pictures i added a beautiful fabric bow that i cut with my steel rule die. On the back i punched a hole & added an eyelet, i hung some gorgeous charms through the hole. Not something you would find on a shop bought file box!

You will be amazed how strong this is & also how simple it is to make. As long as you have some good Chipboard/Greyboard it will be super simple & it will look amazing! How pretty would it look if you had a few of these sitting together in your craft space?? I no for a fact i will be making a few more of these. Chipboard Organiser Folder

positivelypapercraft notebook folder

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my Blog & thank you for stopping by.
Today i have a lovely Notebook Folder/Organiser that would make a great gift for anyone. I made mine from chipboard but you could also use cereal boxes etc. The paper pad i used is called 7th Heaven from Mintay & its beautiful.

Positivelypapercraft

There is 2 notebooks in the folder which i made myself. Its really easy to do. One has copier paper in & the other is some lined paper i cut from a notepad. I just put the pages together and wiped glue over the top where the papers join. I then clipped them together for about 30 minutes. Give it a try!

positivelypapercraft

On the front of the folder i made a pocket that you could put a photo in or a quote of some sort. I thought it was a nice little feature, I used a die to cut out the window and then put some acetate behind it. The gold closure is also a lovely addition and i picked a pack of them up from Aliexpress.

Mens Chipboard Folio

Handmade notebook folder

Hi everyone
Today i have a project that is geared towards the Men in your life. Something that i very rarely make. I think its because i don’t really have any Men in my life so i tend to forget that other people do. Anyway, i am really pleased with how this turned out & its really simple to make. I made mine from old cereal boxes & its super strong.

I also made the 2 large Notebooks. They were so easy to make. The paper was printed for free online & i used some spare paper from old Notebooks that i had lying around.

I also made the 2 large Notebooks. They were so easy to make. The paper was printed for free online & i used some spare paper from old Notebooks that i had lying around. I just cut it to size, rounded all the corners & used my Reptile glue to seal the tops of the pages together. As i said in one of my tutorials last week, i will never buy anymore notebooks again! There is no need when you can make your own professional looking ones.

This folio organiser has lots of storage pockets & the notebooks can be replaced. I made a slot for them so you just pull them out when they are empty & slot new ones back in. My folio closes with velcro. I did try magnets but with the chipboard & thickness of everything the closure just kept popping open.

I really love this project & it would make a beautiful Gift. You can make them in any style you like. There is also plenty room if you want to add a pen slot. I hope you like it & will make one for the Man or woman in your life! I am sure they would love it.

DIY Mini Aqua Style Bouquet

Mini diy aqua bouquet

Hi everyone 🙂 Thank you for popping over to my Blog. If you follow me on Facebook you will know that yesterday i said i have the most adorable project coming up! Well here it is!! How cute is this??? This is my mini version of an aqua Bouquet. When you get a ‘real’ one, the box holds the Flowers which are wrapped in cellophane and have water inside. I am sure you have seen them or even had one yourself. This is just the cutest thing ever!!

Paper flower aqua bouquet
mini aqua bouquet

Its very simple to make and made in the same kind of way as my Flower Bag tutorial that i did the other day. The ‘Aqua’ box is just 2 pieces of card stock glued together so you don’t even need a die for it. I also made a tiny envelope which i popped onto a tiny wooden peg! I stamped a sentiment onto some card so that the recipient can open the envelope and read the tiny message. How sweet is that!

This little Bouquet would be amazing for all sorts of occasions. You could use them as table decorations at Weddings, Party’s etc. It would also make a gorgeous gift for someone who may be in Hospital etc. Of course you can even make them to decorate your home, they look so sweet and really pretty. Of course the great thing is they won’t die!
I am super proud of my creation and i hope you love it as much as me. Please make sure to check out my step by step tutorial. I will put a link to my video at the end of this post.
I hope you will make one for yourself 🙂

Easy & Beautiful 3D Flower Frame

Easy flower shadow box

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for popping by my Blog today. I hope you are all well. Its been a week or 2 since i have posted any tutorials. I have been so busy with Flower boxes & Crafts kits. However i have managed to get a tutorial done today.  This is a beautiful Flower box which looks so realistic. I have mine hanging on the wall and really can not tell its made from card and paper! It just looks so real.

My flowers are made using Heartfelt creations dies but of course you can use any Flowers you have. I made 16 of them and put them in a sort of Ombre effect. light to dark. They look so pretty and for the centre of the Flowers i used seed beads. I love using them for Flower centres. You just put a big dollop of hot glue in the middle and sprinkle your seed beads on the top.

The shadow box is made in the same way i did the Christmas advent calendar and also the shadow box that held 4 mini boxes in the middle. Its a really large size and measures about 11 1/2″ x 11″. I hope you like it and will have a go at making one yourself. It really is so easy to do and the end result is beautiful. It would make a perfect gift for so many people.

Below you can find the measurements in imperial and metric.

PATTERNED PAPER FOR THE FLOWER BACKGROUND 8 1/2″ X 9″
OR  21.5 CM X 22.8 CM
YOU ALSO NEED A THICK PIECE OF CARD THE SAME SIZE

CARD MEASURING 11 1/2″ X 11″ FOR THE SHADOW BOX BASE
OR  29.2 CM X 28 CM

2 PIECES OF CARD MEASURING 5 1/2 X 11″
OR  14 CM X 28 CM

2 PIECES MEASURING 5 1/2″ X 11 1/2″
OR  14 CM X 29.2 CM

SCORE ALL 4 PIECES THE SAME, SCORE SHORT SIDE @ 1/2″,  1 3/4″,  3″  &  4 1/4″
OR  1.2 CM ,  4.5 CM ,  7.6 CM  &  10.8 CM

Please make sure to check out my you tube video for full step by step instructions.

I will be back again soon with another video.

Positivelypapercraft Hexagon vanity style case

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for stopping by my Blog Today. I hope you are all having a lovely Weekend.  If you watched my Hexagon Handbag tutorial the other day, you will remember that i said i have another idea with the Hexagon Dies. Well here it is!! A gorgeous Vanity style case. I am really pleased with the result and it would be great to gift some special items for someones Birthday etc.

As you can see in the picture above i added some large silver gems which act as ‘Feet’. I did show you in my video but i still have not got the hang of my new Camera so the video cuts off again lol. Sorry, i will get the hang of it soon. I also forgot to put my faux Mirror inside. Its just some Mirri card that i die cut and glued it on the inside of the lid. It just looks really sweet.

As i said in the Handbag post the other day, its hard to give measurements as you may be using different size Hexagons to me. If you just measure them they way i show you in my tutorial you should be fine. I did make the depth of my Case 3 1/2″. Make your card 4 1/2″ as you need to score each end at 1/2″.

To decorate my case i added paper/Foam flowers, Black feathers and a die cut Butterfly. I hope you will try this Case, its so easy to make and really does look stunning. I will put the link to my tutorial at the end of this post.

I will be back on Wednesday with another video.

Positivelypapercraft Craft room storage tutorials

Hi Everyone 🙂
Today I am back with more craft room storage! I think every crafter needs somewhere to store there stamps. The great thing about this one is that you can make it in any colour/decoration you like! Its super strong as i made it from Gray board. Another cool thing is i made matching dividers so i can actually find the stamps i need without searching for ages! I hate that & it really puts me off.

Easy craft room storage, positivelypapercraft,

If you follow my YouTube channel etc you will know that i have been making loads of Craft Room storage these last few weeks. We all know that it can be expensive but i think the main thing is finding the type of storage we need. This can be tricky & then its not always in the colour or style we like. You won’t have that problem with this! You can make it to match your colour scheme or style etc. Its not hard to make & its really just the same method as most of my other storage items.

Positivelypapercraft

This holds loads of stamps & its super strong. I also made some matching dividers which i then labelled with my Brother label machine. You can of course just hand write on your dividers or even print some off with your PC etc. You can choose to store them in any order you wish. I hope you will give this box a go. I love it & it looks so pretty in my Craft room. Especially the big Glitter Bow i made for the front.

Please find all the measurements listed below in Metric & Imperial:

2 PIECES CHIPBOARD MEASURING 9 1/2″ X 6″
OR
24.1 CM X 15.2 CM
(MEASURE UP 4″ FROM THE BOTTOM AND CUT FROM THAT MARK TO THE TOP CORNER, THIS WILL GIVE YOU THE SLOPING SIDES. DO THAT TO BOTH PIECES)

1 PIECE MEASURING 6 1/2″ X 4″
OR
15.2 CM X 10.2 CM

1 PIECE MEASURING 6 1/2″ X 6″ (BACK PIECE)
OR
15.2 CM X 16.5 CM

1 PIECE MEASURING 6 1/2″ X 9 1/2″ (BASE)
OR
16.5 CM X 24.1 CM

YOU WILL ALSO NEED YOUR JOINING PIECES (HINGES) WHICH ALL MEASURE 1 1/4″ WIDE AND SCORED @ 5/8″ ON THE SHORT SIDE. TO DETERMINE THE LENGTH JUST USE YOUR PIECES OF CHIPBOARD TO GET THE RIGHT LENGTH.

FOR MY PATTERNED PAPER I JUST CUT IT AROUND 1/8″ SMALLER THAN THE CHIPBOARD

DIVIDERS
CARD STOCK MEASURING 6 1/4 WIDE & THEN WHATEVER HEIGHT YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR DIVIDERS.
I MADE MY FIRST ONE AROUND 4 1/2″ TALL THEN MOVED UP AROUND 1/2″ SO THEY GOT TALLER TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE BOX.

I PUNCHED THEM @ 2″ ON THE ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD TO MAKE THE TAB.

Please check out my YouTube tutorial for full instructions.

I will be back tomorrow with some crafty Bargains/Goodies i got throughout the week.

Positivelypapercraft gift box tutorial

Hi Everyone,
Welcome to my Blog & thank you for stopping by!
I am quite proud of Today’s project!! I think its quite unusual & for some reason it reminds me of some kind of Puzzle box! I have had it in my head for a few days now & i am so please with the end result. It turned out way better than i imagined. Its really simple to make so please don’t be put off as its so easy.

Its basically a very deep shadow box that holds 4 seperate gift boxes inside. An acetate wrap finishes it off & holds it all snugly together! I love it! The large paper bow on the top of the box is a tutorial i did a couple of years ago. Again its so easy to make. Here is the link for it, EASY PAPER BOW

Positivelypapercraft
Positivelypapercraft shadow gift box tutorial

I think this would make a fantastic gift for either a Male or female. You could fill each box with lovely Gifts. For a woman you could maybe have Nail polish in one, Lipstick in the other or Jewellery etc. You could maybe even fill them with craft items or Chocolates.
Also say if you have 4 children or or giving a gift from 4 people, you could allocate a box to each person so they get a box containing a gift from someone different! Just an idea.

Easy memory dex tutorial

Hi Crafters!
I am back with another tutorial! You may remember last week i told you that i wanted to start making memory dex cards. I have been meaning to start them but just never seen to get time. When i got my latest DT package from Alinacutle that give me the push to start them as there was a really cool Memory Dex Die set in it. I shared it with you all in my last you tube video.

I began looking online for a memory dex storage system but i found they were so expensive! Then i had the idea to make my own. I am so pleased with it & because i have made it from chipboard its super strong! The 2 runners are made from paper straws! How cool is that?? I just coloured mine in with a permanent metallic marker. Its a fantastic box and i am sure you will agree with me if you make one 🙂

make your own memory dex box, #positivelypapercraft, #alinacutle,

These are also my first ever memory dex cards! I created them using 2 new dies from Alinacutle. The gorgeous Black Swan Die & also the adorable little Asian Girl Die As i said before the memory dex card is also created from Alinacutles Memory Dex die set. I love it as you can also create different edges with it.

If you want to have a go at making one of these boxes all you will need is some chipboard. If you don’t have that you could also use an old cereal box. You will also need some scrapbook paper, 2 paper straws & i recommend a hot glue gun. I also glued some gorgeous trim around the outside of the boxes, you could also use Ribbon or whatever you have in your crafty stash.

1 X CHIPBOARD MEASURING 4 1/2″ X 7″
2 X CHIPBOARD MEASURING 2″ X 7″
2 X CHIPBOARD MEASURING 2″ X 4 1/2″
