I hope you are having a great weekend. I have noticed its getting cold now and the nights are drawing in. I love crafting on cold dark nights. Anyway, back to today’s cards. I promised we would do another White Christmas this week and also make some boxes for out 8 x 8″ and 5 x 7″ cards.
The 8 x 8″ card I made today is so sparkly and glittery, not my usual thing ( I am still cleaning up glitter) but it looks so nice. I hope you like it.
The Poinsettia flowers are from Heartfelt creations but I could not find the stamp and dies here in the UK (I bought mine last year) You may have more luck if you are in the US. They are called small festive Poinsettia.
I love the flourish stamp set, it’s so elegant and perfect to make your own background like I have. I added some beautiful feather leaf dies to my project as well. I used the same stamp set for both of my cards, it has some beautiful sentiments in it.
I can not remember where I got the fancy circle dies from, I know it was AliExpress but I have know idea which store. The snowflake die is from Alina crafts and I love the beautiful embellishment I put in the middle.
This really is a special card and I would be proud to receive it.
The 5 x 7″ card is a lot simpler but I used the same stamp set and dies apart from the Poinsettia die.

MY CARD MEASURED 8 X 8″ THE TWO LAYERS MEASURE 7 3/4″ SQUARE AND 7 1/2″ SQUARE. FOR THE BOX YOU NEED TWO PIECES OF 12 X 12″ SCORE BOTH PIECES AT 1″ AND 2″ ON ALL FOUR SIDES. MAKE SURE TO MOVE ONE OF THE PIECES AWAY FROM THE SCORE BOARD BEFORE YOU SCORE, THIS WILL ALLOW YOUR LID TO FIT.
THE LAYERS FOR THE TOP OF THE BOX ARE 7 3/4″ SQUARE AND 7 1/2″ SQUARE.
THE SECOND CARD BASE IS 5 X 7″ THE TWO LAYERS ARE 4 7/8″ X 6 7/8″ AND 4 3/4″ X 6 3/4″
THE CARD FOR YOUR BOX MEASURES 11 1/4 X 9 1/4″ SCORE ALL FOUR SIDES AT 1″ AND 2″ THE LID MEASURES 7 1/4 X 9 1/4″ SCORE ALL FOUR SIDES AT 1″
