Creative Illusion Cards Part 3

Hey everyone!

Welcome back to my Blog and today I have part 3 of my creative Illusion cards! I have really enjoyed these last few videos. You can’t beat sitting and creating some fun cards with what you already have in your stash!

The last couple of weeks I have seen lots of people post the versions that they made. It’s been so nice to see other peoples take on them. I am still playing around with some ideas so hopefully I will have some more in a couple of weeks.

This is my favourite!! I love this card and I am going to make it in different colours etc. My card panels were all 5 7/8″ square so that when you put it on a 6 x 6 card you have a slight border. My smaller middle square measured 2 7/8″ square. The larger square for the aperture was 4 7/8″ square. I hope you try this one!

I also wanted to quickly mention today’s sponsor which is serious readers. They are the best daylight lamps that I have ever used! I do understand they are a considered purchase but your eyes will thank you for it! These lamps are not just your average daylight lamps and that will be apparent immediately.

I also wanted to say that they come with some of the best packaging I have ever seen! The compact light comes with a beautiful velvet bag and both lights were protected so well.

This is the compact light on my desk. You will get this light free when you use my code ANN15. https://try.seriousreaders.com/pages/ann15/

This card turned out pretty cool! Not an illusion as such but a brilliant way to create more depth by using various nesting/shape dies. My card measured 6 x 6″ and the largest circle was 4 3/4″

This last card is more of a way to include heavy patterned papers in your design. You could also try this with different shapes, circles, squares or whatever you have. I think it’s very simple but very effective. This card measures 5 x 7″ and the largest rectangle is 5 x 3 1/2″ the smaller rectangle is 4 1/2 x 2 3/4″

I hope you have enjoyed today’s offerings. I am looking forward to seeing your versions! You can share them in my Facebook craft forum https://www.facebook.com/groups/papercrafts1 we have nearly 9.5K members in there and it’s the most friendliest group I have ever been in! Please feel free to join and share your crafty makes.

Bye for now

  1. Hi Ann, I have tried ordering a compact table lamp, using your code ANN 15, but they won’t accept it, they say the |150 pound lamp is not eliglble for the free version. ???

    1. It’s because you have to order the large lamp and then you get the compact lamp free. You are best off just going on the website and ordering the compact lamp that way. xx
