Beautiful recess box card

Hey everyone,

I came up with this ‘Recess box card’ the other day. I am thrilled with it and its actually really simple to make. I added some lights inside but you could also use a Tealight. I also made a gift box for it.

I have always had a bit of an obsession with small house scenes and dolls houses etc. Ever since being a small child they have always fascinated me. I often wish I could shrink and fit inside.

Below I am going to give you the measurements for the box card and the gift box.

DIMENSIONS

CARD FOR THE BOX CARD MEASURES 10 X 8 1/2″

SCORE ALL 4 SIDES AT 1/2 AND 2″

CUT AN APETURE FROM THE MIDDLE WHICH MEASURES APPROX 4 1/8″ X 2″

WHITE CARD FOR YOUR RECESS MEASURES 6 7/8″ X 5 1/8″

SCORE ALL 4 SIDES AT 1/2″ AND 1 1/2″

CARD FOR THE BACK MEASURES JUST UNDER 4 1/2″ X 6″

CARD TO WRITE YOUR MESSAGE MEASURES 5 1/4″ X 3 7/8″

MEASUREMENTS FOR THE BOX:

2 PIECES OF CARD MEASURING 8 1/4″ X 9 3/4″

SCORE THEM BOTH THE SAME AT 1 3/4″ ON ALL 4 SIDES BUT BEFORE YOU SCORE ONE OF THE PIECES SLIGHTLY MOVE AWAY FROM THE EDGE OF THE SCOREBOARD BEFORE EVERY SCORE. THIS PIECE WILL BE YOUR LID.

PAPER FOR THE TOP OF THE BOX MEASURES 6 1/8 X 4 5/8″

PAPER FOR THE SIDES OF THE BOX MEASURE 1 1/2″ X 6 1/8″ X 2 PIECES

1 1/2″ X 4 5/8″ X 2 PIECES
